Chicken Inasal will be available in Asian food stores soon

Magnolia’s Chicken Inasal to hit the shelves by yearend.

Chicken Inasal, a marinated chicken that is either grilled or baked,  will be available in different Asian grocery stores by the end of the year.

Ramar Foods, headquartered in Pittsburg, Calif., is launching its frozen Chicken Inasal under the Magnolia brand. “It will be ready to grill or bake for families in the community to enjoy,” said Marketing Manager Gabe Querian.

Chicken Inasal originated from Bacolod City in the Philippines’s Negros island. The term “inasal” means to “roast” or “chargrilled” chicken marinated in a mixture of ingredients and spices typically served with rice and vinegar.

“We were so excited to launch this product that we had to accelerate the process due to the growing demand for prepared meats in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) category,” he said.

Ramar stressed its commitment to produce frozen meat products with authentic flavors to bring Filipino families in the diaspora a taste of home.

“In the many years I’ve worked for Ramar Foods, we have always prioritized authentic flavor and premium quality in all of our products,” said Rommel Catanghal, Ramar’s Dairy Assistant Operations Manager and a Bacolod native.

In the coming weeks, Ramar will be rolling out these products in several Asian stores within the United States. This grilled chicken favorite will become available both in stores and online at www.cravefilipino.com

Magnolia Chicken Inasal  is made locally at Ramar’s processing facility in Pittsburg.

Founded in 1969, Ramar’s goal is to bring the flavors of the Philippines to the Filipino household. The Ramar Foods product line includes frozen delicacies, such as Lumpiang Shanghai, Tocino, Chicken Barbecue and an assortment of Dimsum products. The company’s success in the industry is attributed to its people, its deep relationship with the Filipino diaspora, and a commitment to understanding what brings satisfaction to Filipino families, said the managers.

Ramar started with a vision of being the premier Filipino food company that will bring nostalgia to Filipino households, and at the same time, give a snapshot of the Filipino experience to non-Filipinos all over the world. It has grown to be America’s No. 1 Filipino food company serving communities across North America and beyond. Its products are distributed in North America, Europe, Middle east and Australia.

“As a manufacturer of ethnic food products, we value culture. We continuously encourage diversity and nourish cultural differences being that the Philippines has over 170 different ethnic groups. We internally encourage diversity that creates a wonderful blend of taste-buds applied to our products,” says the company website.

Ramar continues to be a family-owned and operated company.
