UST grad Caroline Araullo promoted Chief Nursing Officer at NYCHH/Carter facility
NYC Health + Hospitals announced on August 11, 2026 the appointment of Caroline H. Araullo, MSN-NE, RN, NEA-BC, NPD-BC as the new Chief Nursing Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter.
Since 2025, Araullo has served as the deputy director of Nursing at NYCHH/Carter and previously as its Nursing Educator since 2022. She earned a Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.
Araullo brings over 20 years of experience as a senior-level nursing leader and clinical educator in post-acute care settings, including the Long-Term Acute Care Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility settings. She has extensive knowledge in nursing policies and procedures, the Joint Commission, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) standards.

Araullo served as Carter’s dedicated Pathway to Excellence Program Director earning the Pathway to Excellence Designation with Distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2025, the first and only post-acute care facility to achieve this distinction. In 2024, Araullo was the recipient of the NYC Health + Hospitals Nursing Excellence Award.
Araullo earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Education from Aspen University in Arizona, and holds board certifications in Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC) and Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC). — NYC Health + Hospitals
