The weather is expected to be partly sunny, with a high of 83 and a low of 70.

That’s not Dave Price with the weather outlook for August 21, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., but CORE Chair Venessa Manzano reminding everyone about this Sunday’s beach outing at the Polar Beach Club in Long Beach.

Collaborative Opportunities for Raising Empowerment, Inc. is hosting the annual Summer Outing for Young Filipino Professionals, in collaboration with Filipino Mundo NYC, JCI Philippines-New York and Pilipino American Unity for Progress.

Enjoy an entire day at the beach just hanging out with other young professionals! There’s something to do for everyone! Sunbathing, swimming, bodyboarding, people-watching, volleyball, hanging out and of course eating! A good book is also an attractive option for those who just need uninterrupted time to read.

You don’t have to be a member of any of these organizations to join. Bring your families and friends. Children are most welcome. There will be a competitive events, like volleyball, tug-of-war, ultimate frisbee or the traditional ‘patintero.’

If you are planning to attend, contact Venessa at 781-888-8805 – or any of the organizers — by Friday, August 19.
