Hundreds of Darren Criss fans — me included — didn’t mind soaking wet in the cold rain on December 9 as the “Glee” star serenaded the Meatpacking District with holiday classics.

The FilAm singer-actor helped launch the eBay Toy Box with Christmas classics at a free outdoor concert on Hudson at 14th Street. He brought nostalgia back with holiday hymns, such as “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “The Christmas Song.”

The eBay Toy Box is a pop-up where shoppers can shop for toys and also donate to Toys for Tots using their smartphones. The donation will receive a matching fund from the online retailer eBay.

Shoppers can also have the purchased toys delivered — within an hour! — through the new delivery service called eBay Now. Visit ebay.com/giveone for more details.

Darren was born in San Francisco to an Irish American father from Pittsburgh and a Filipino mother who hails from Cebu. The Crisses are a musical family, according to a Wikipedia entry. Darren’s father was a director of the San Francisco Opera, and an older brother was a member of an indie rock band. — Elton Lugay
