Reina Filipina to present candidates for inaugural pageant at Times Square on Jan 19
The Reina Filipina North America organization is announcing the official candidates for its first-ever pageant, set to take place on January 19, 2025, at the Palladium Times Square in Manhattan.
The ladies will compete for the title of Reina Filipina as well Miss New York Philippines, Miss New Jersey Philippines and Miss Connecticut Philippines. There will also be winners in Best In Evening Wear, Best in Sportswear, Most Popular and more. The prizes include free round-trip airfare to Manila, hotel stays in the Manila and Vegas, cash prizes as well as modeling scholarships.
Explained co-organizer John T. Baltazar, MBA, president of DYCC Solutions Aggregators, “Reina Filipina North America is the franchise owner of the Miss Philippines Universe in the tristate NY area. Winners of our pageant will represent the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut in Manila in April 2025.
Eight candidates are competing.
Hopefully, the organization will produce the winner who can represent the Philippines all the way to the Miss Universe next year. Reina Filipina is the accredited partner for the Miss Charm, Miss Supranational and Mister Pilipinas contests, he said.
“This landmark event celebrates the rich culture, beauty, and talent of Filipina women across North America and aims to empower and uplift their voices within the community.
“Candidates were carefully selected based on their commitment to cultural representation, community service, and personal accomplishments.
“The event will not only showcase elegance and grace but will also offer a platform for the candidates to express their personal stories,” said Baltazar.
The gala will feature interviews with the candidates, talent performances, and a celebration of cultural heritage through traditional Filipino attire.
