Don’t be surprised to find new products in your Asian grocery freezer: Sweet Garlic Longganisa, Sweet Hamonado Longganisa, Lucban Longganisa, and the all-new Pork Siomai without seafood.

Ramar Foods Corporation,  known for their “authentic Filipino flavors,” has announced the new offerings under the Magnolia brand in the fourth quarter of 2023.

“These offerings come just in time for the holiday season, a time when families come together to create cherished memories around the dining table,” the company said in a press statement. “Ramar Foods understands the importance of these moments and aims to enhance them by offering quality products that embody the heart and soul of Filipino cuisine.”

To ensure absolute authenticity, the Ramar Team entrusted the tasting of its Lucban Longganisa to Ramar employees with roots in the Quezon region.  “Their invaluable insights allowed us to capture the flavors of Lucban in every bite,” stated Shannon Cabral, marketing director.

Alongside Lucban, Ramar also offers other beloved regional varieties of Longganisa, such as Vigan, Lucban, and Sweet Hamonado

The new longganisa flavors are not just about culinary innovation.

“It’s about preserving the integrity of Filipino culture and cuisine while catering to the needs of Filipino families in the diaspora. We recognize the importance of staying true to our traditions and culture, and we take pride in creating products that evoke nostalgia, family, and authenticity,” it said.

“As we celebrate Filipino-American History Month in October, these new Magnolia offerings pay homage to the longganisa flavors and cultural diversity of the Philippines. They serve as a bridge that connects generations of Filipino families living across the globe, and providing a taste of home no matter where they are.”

The all-new Pork Siomai flavorcaters to the rising demand for siomai without seafood, allowing those with shellfish allergies to savor the delectable taste of siomai products.

“Shellfish allergies have been a growing concern among consumers, and Ramar Foods is proud to address this issue by introducing a shrimp-free version of Pork Siomai,” said Cabral.

“In response to consumer needs, Ramar Foods introduced a shrimp-free version of Pork Siomai to accommodate those with shellfish allergies. It’s important to note that this isn’t merely the original product minus shrimp; our Product Innovation team has crafted a distinctive pork option with a delightful umami profile, promising an exceptional flavor sensation and culinary experience.”
