Artists Chadwick Arcinue and Jef Albea to exhibit at famed Artexpo
Artists Chadwick Arcinue and Jef Albea will be featuring their work at the prestigious Artexpo New York which also exhibited the works of world-renowned Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein of the Pop Art movement. of the Sixties.
Their collections will be on exhibit at Booth 106 of the Artexpo at Pier 36from March 30th to April 2nd.
Arcinue worked in finance for two decades before deciding to pursue his passion for the arts. He established The Chadwick Concepts in 2018, and since then has exhibited internationally, from Rome to Berlin and Shanghai. Last year, he launched his first NFT collection in Times Square.
Before trying his hand at sculpture, Albea was a successful fashion designer. His creations have graced the runways of London and New York. His success on the runway has extended to museum galleries across the world, and in many celebrities’ homes in the Philippines.
They are collaborating for the first time on a show to benefit Advancement for Rural Kids, a volunteer organization that seeks to address food insecurity by inspiring communities to invest in themselves. Through its community-wide vegetable solution called Feed Back, ARK empowers at-risk families to farm from their backyards, and create excess to exchange with neighbors and to sell to nearby towns leading to much needed new income. ARK Feed Back leaves the community happy, united, and investing in each other.
With the theme Spring Forward, the artists wish to invite the public to harness new connections, spark evolutions and embark on fresh beginnings. They are hosting a VIP Opening Reception for community members, friends and family who want to be the first to see their new collections on March 30, 2023 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pier 36, 299 South Street (Booth 106) in New York City.
“2023 is an opportunity to look at the world in a whole new light, and we hope our new collections will encourage sparkle and hope in your office or home,” said Arcinue who offered to share the space he received from Artexpo with Albea.
“I’m grateful to Chad and our New York community for welcoming me in spaces and platforms like these. It may be cold here but I hope to bring the warmth of our people through our handmade art,” said Albea, whose works have been received by former Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo and other dignitaries.
