An office warming in Chelsea
After a decade in the marketing business, Grace Hufano-Labaguis opened on July 15 a Manhattan office for her Essential Consulting Services, LLC. The ‘office warming’ was a gathering of close friends, associates and clients, with Fr. Mike Lagrimas officiating at the blessing.
“I’m blessed with great, supportive, thoughtful friends and family,” she said.
Among her clients is GMA Pinoy TV, a 24-hour station produced by GMA Network in the Philippines. The network recently launched GMA News TV International “in response to the insistent demand from Pinoy Kapuso viewers all over the world for relevant and credible news,” said Grace.
GMA News TV International has been a recipient of the George Foster Peabody Award for public service programming, five citations from the Telly Awards, and another recognition from the U.S. International Film and Video Festival for its news and public affairs shows. The GMA News and Public Affairs is also the recipient of the New York Festival’s International Television and Film Awards and the Asian TV Awards.
Grace said Filipinos will have a “generous helping” of GMA public affairs programs now that GMA News TV International is up and running.
A graduate of Communication Arts from Maryknoll College in Manila, Grace said ECS is focused on helping companies position their products and services in the Filipino community in the northeast. Topnotch Electronics and many community-based organizations are among ECS’s other accounts.
