The Catholic Fellowship of Young Filipino Professionals is inviting the community to join in the April 17 observance of the Visita Iglesia, a Filipino Lenten tradition.

Participants to the Visita Iglesia pray the Stations of the Cross in their visit to seven Manhattan churches.

The event begins with Holy Thursday mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. The CFYFP group will be seated on the leftmost side facing the altar closer to the front (on the 51st Street side).

Those who cannot make the 5:30 p.m. mass may join at any point in the succeeding activities of this event. Contact: Joe Valdez at 917-494-6234 for details.

The CFYFP is also collecting Holy Bibles and rosaries to send to Leyte. As you may know, the island was severely hit by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda, which has caused catastrophic devastation to the region. CFYFP officers Ronnie Pedrosa and Bel Molina come from this island and know several church people/groups who can use the Holy Bibles and rosaries. The group aims to collect about 500 of each item until about June this year and we plan to mail them straight to our contacts.
