Artist Dulcie Dee will be exhibiting four photographs at the “Images from the Heart” group show organized by Sinag and the American Society of Philippine Photographers.

New York-born Dulcie was an arts major at Fiorello La Guardia High School of Music and the Arts and won first prize for the NYC Anti-Drug Abuse poster contest that inspired her to pursue the arts as her life career. She received her Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University in California and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Philippines.

As an artist, she is known for her ‘Geishas’ series where she paints “lovely, demure yet sensuous Geishas revealing the erotic sensuality of the female body.” Her Zen fusion of East and West art pulsates with rich, vibrant, tropical colors painted with clarity, texture, precision and detail with a free-flowing sense of subject, shade and color.

“Images from the Heart” opens October 8th at 7 p.m. at the Philippine Center on Fifth Avenue.
