An economics graduate of De La Salle University in Manila who dabbles in jewelry-making has won the Stations of the Cross Art Contest sponsored by the Chapel of San Lorenzo Ruiz.

Angela Kristi Dumdum – ‘Kissy’ to family and close friends – threaded beads like a rosary as an aid to churchgoers reciting the Way of the Cross. She received a cash prize of $100 from CSLR’s Father Joseph Marabe.

Kissy is an active volunteer at the chapel and plays the piano for the choir during mass. The daughter of Cecille Dumdum of the Philippine Consulate, she is also a member of the chapel’s Youth Group.

“Kissy is enjoying New York City a lot,” said CSLR publicist Oliver Oliveros. “She’s been here since her graduation from DLSU-Manila last year.”

Born in Cagayan de Oro, Kissy loves to watch Broadway musicals, sing and hang out with friends. “Footloose” star Kevin Bacon is one of her favorite actors, and so is Rachel McAdams of “The Notebook.” She reads mostly fairy tale books from the “Once Upon A Time” series.
