Welcome to TheFilAmDC.com, a new online newsmagazine for Filipinos in the Washington metropolitan area. We are a partner site of The FilAm, a popular online magazine that serves the New York Tri State.
Described as a community of educated and affluent Americans, the D.C. metro area — which includes Maryland, Virginia and a portion of West Virginia — is home to 75,444 Filipino Americans, according to the 2010 U.S. Census.

The FilAm D.C. will showcase the accomplishments of Filipino Americans in politics, business, technology, arts, health & sports as well as the academe, where Filipinos are known to be outstanding students and dedicated teachers.
