My dear media colleagues,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for the support you have extended to me during my term as head of the Public Diplomacy Section of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Washington, D.C.
With your help, we were able to share good news not only about the Philippines but also about what the Embassy has been doing  with the members of the Filipino diaspora here in the United States and with our kababayans back home.
I am now en route to my new assignment in Iraq where I will assume as Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of the Philippines in Baghdad. As a former journalist, this challenging assignment is something that I really look forward to.
I would like to ask that you extend the same support you extended to me to Third Secretary and Vice Consul Darell Ann Artates who assumes the public diplomacy portfolio at the Embassy. I am confident that Vice Consul Artates would be able to further build on the excellent relationship we have been able to establish.
Maraming Salamat!
Elmer
