The Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue (FIND, Inc.) is pleased to announce this year’s Fall Dialogue, themed “Ikaw Na: Your Move.”

The conference will be held on November 15, 2014 at Steven’s Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Dialogue joins the national conference series initiated by Pilipino American Unity For Progress (UniPro), Fil-Am Young Leaders Program (FYLPro), and Empowering Pilipino Youth through Collaboration (EPYC). These organizations hosted conferences earlier this year with the common theme “Your Move,” which challenged Filipino American youth to leave their mark on the community, as they shared best practices for mobilizing their peers.

FIND, Inc. will continue this momentum at Dialogue by facilitating workshops throughout the day, urging undergraduate delegates to make “their moves” in their personal and professional lives.

Workshop One, entitled “Sino Ako,” will encourage attendees to discover how they arrived to their present realities by identifying their role as Filipino Americans. The second workshop, “Malakas Ang Puso,” will bridge the past and the present, while addressing the root causes of certain issues and ideals that are still pertinent today, and how they have restricted Filipino Americans in achieving more. In the day’s third and final workshop, “Nagtagumpay Ako,” delegates will draw inspiration by envisioning their own future and finding the steps needed to achieve their goals.

“In this year’s Dialogue, it’s the delegates’ turn to express what their moves are in life and how they can achieve them through various obstacles and challenges that they face as Filipinos, Filipino-Americans, and human beings,” said Kevin Cabanayan, FIND’s Content Tri Chair and an alum of CUNY Baruch College. “Ikaw Na: Your Move, will help delegates to discover something that they haven’t discovered within themselves.”

Anthony Castro, Dialogue Marketing Quad-Chair, added, “In 2014, we are showing that not only District III, but all of FIND, Inc. is making a move by joining the national movement and unifying itself with other Filipino-American organizations. What is most important for us is that students are the ones planning and running our Fall Dialogue, and are reaching out to other students to educate, empower, and inspire.”

Founded on April 11, 1992, FIND, Inc. is a student network that links over 90 East Coast colleges, universities, vocational, and technical schools.

Steven’s Institute of Technology is a private research institution founded in 1870 commonly ranked amongst the top universities in the United States for its dedication to technological advancement. It is also a member school of District 3 of FIND, Inc. The host school’s organization Filipino Association of Stevens Tech (FAST) will facilitate this year’s programming.
