Campaign seeks end to human trafficking in Haiyan-devastated provinces

PhilAmTHropy (PATH) is a crowd funding site promoting creative and meaningful projects made for or made by Filipinos. Based in California, PATH provides the Filipino diaspora a venue to follow their path and to inspire like-minded individuals to support them. To date, the site has successfully helped fund eight out of 10 campaigns.

The most current campaign on PhilAmTHropy is by Called To Rescue. The organization Called to Rescue was established in 1997 by Dr. Cyndi Romine. Dr. Romine explains why, aside from food and shelter, Haiyan victims are most vulnerable to human trafficking.

Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, singer/songwriter Jim Paredes, actor Jericho Rosales and motivational speaker Anthony Pangilinan have all contributed their time and talent to Called to Rescue’s cause. Human trafficking is a big problem. There is an urgent need to create ads in dialects familiar to Haiyan victims. Please join Called to Rescue in their fight to end this horrific crime.
